Lynn Dicksion - Sequim, Washington, 2007

Tribute #2 to my wife, Lynn Dicksion (1956-2012) – Lynn’s Leather Art

Lynn didn’t use traditional dyes and stains that conventional leatherworkers use.  She found out about some art products and learned a way to mix them, resulting in colors that were vivid and even iridescent in the sunlight.  The colors don’t chip or fade.  And she found out that the colors lasted even if the products got wet.  She found that out when she accidentally washed a pair of her earrings in the washing machine.

Being made of leather, her leather jewelry was very light.  She was extremely prolific, and regularly stayed up all through the night putting together her products.  She loved photography and she loved working with leather.
