7 Scenarios

1.  Art Aficionados –

  Leather art is … Art!  My leather balloons are not toys, rather, they are my form of art that I do primarily in the medium of leather.

  We’re all familiar with the many ways leather is used artistically to make handbags, shoes, saddles and other personal items.

  Or, just as people like to have paintings on the walls, there are many leather artists who make fabulous leather wall hangings.

  Also, in just the same way that many people have sculptures in their homes, leather is often used to make that art form.

  My leather balloons are intended to be art objects done in the medium of leather.  And as such, they are perfect items for anyone to have just for art's sake.

2.  Interior Design Connoisseurs –

  For interior spaces, both residential and commercial, my leather balloons make for truly eye-catching conversation pieces, perfectly sized for a desk, table, bookshelf, in the home or in the office.  They are sure to liven up any interior space!

3.  Hot Air Balloon Owners –

  In much the same way that yacht owners take great pleasure in their sailing vessels, so too are hot air balloon owners justifiably proud of their special lighter-than-air crafts.  As a tribute to the sport that balloon owners love so much, a leather balloon is like a trophy distinctly commemorating their own balloon!

4.  Hot Air Balloon Passengers –

  The most common expression used by both passengers and passengers-to-be is "That's on my bucket list!"  For most people, a ride in a hot air balloon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and something they have long dreamed of doing.  Once they've done it, it's an experience they will never forget.

  In fact, a ride in a hot air balloon is such a unique and momentous event that many people choose to make a hot air balloon gondola the location for their most special occasions, such as birthdays, marriage proposals and wedding ceremonies.

  For such people, what better way can there be for them to cherish the memories of their special occasions, than with a souvenir memento for their very own of the very balloon that carried them!  My leather balloons make for just such mementos.

5.  Those With An Eye To Marketing –

  Real hot air balloons have long been recognized as highly effective means for getting noticed.  Thousands of businesses worldwide have found hot air balloons to be better than roadside billboards.

  In just that way, my leather balloons can be just as effective used as display-sized advertising items, a sure-fired way to captivate the attention of customers.

  One of the best things about leatherwork is that the leather artisan is not restricted to making strictly stripes or geometrical patterns.  With leather, it can truly be said, "The sky's the limit!"  Brand-accurate logos are certainly possible.

6.  Collectors of Balloon Bric-A-Brac –

  We have all known people who collect items of every description pertaining to their own special interest.  Some like ponies or rainbows or dragons, and on and on and on.  They collect anything they can find that has to do with whatever their own special interest happens to be.

  So too are there countless numbers of people who collect hot air balloons in any and all forms they find them.  One such form which is immensely popular among collectors is hot air balloon trading cards which they pick up at balloon festivals.

  Whatever the form of the collectible, people buy them for themselves or for their friends and loved ones who they know have a special love for hot air balloons.

  For such people, my leather balloons make for unique and special treasures among their collection!

7.  Model Railroaders –

  The scenery and realism that is achieved in many model railroad layouts is nothing short of amazing.  My leather balloons make for delightful scenery items to any model railroad scene depiction.  Model railroad enthusiasts are able to choose a balloon of any color and design that they desire.  And - in the case of clubs - they can even have a balloon that displays their own club's logo.

  In fact, I am currently in the process of designing a method for animating multiple balloons for model railroad layouts.  With this method, the balloons will both ascend and descend while simultaneously moving horizontally across the layout.  In this way the balloons will more realistically mimic the way that balloons actually fly.

  This is a long-term project idea that I am very excited about.  The idea is for it to be a leather balloon hot air balloon festival scene.  The scene - including balloon landing field, roads, background hills and buildings and even the sky - will be nearly entirely constructed of leather.

  Someone recently said to me, “Monty, you should be showing your balloons to like-minded people who share your interest in hot air balloons.”

  I think you can see from all of the varied and diverse scenarios I have described above, that my leather balloons are for very nearly Anyone and Everyone!
