[2] The Truckin' Song

This song, in the key of D, was always a good one to start with whenever I practiced.

It's good to start with because an ordinary open D chord on the guitar is a good chord to use to make sure your guitar is in tune.

It's also a good song to start with because, with its easy chord progression and a couple of bar chords thrown in, it's a good one to get your left hand loosened up.

I always used to use this song whenever I'd get together with some friends for jam sessions, because it's so easy to play, even if they were beginners, I'd have them all playing within a couple of minutes.

I'd like you to keep in mind that this song is only the 2nd song I had taken on, putting together my list of songs for my ALAICMI project, and I was still learning how to do home digital recording.  So I'll be the first to admit that this recording doesn't have the pizzazz that it should.  I had done the first recording of it in 2015 in a collection that I call "Monty Dicksion and the Household Implements" because I used household implements for some of the percussion.  And that recording was done with even simpler gear.  But if you ask me, it  does a pretty good job in the pizzazz department.
